Tomoki — Osaka Pokemon TCG Proxy Buyer

I visit Nipponbashi every week. This guide is written from the floor, not a desk.

Who I am

I'm Tomoki, a Pokemon TCG proxy buyer based in Osaka. I run a small agency that sources Japanese cards — booster boxes, singles, graded cards, vintage — for overseas collectors and hobby shops who can't easily get them at home. Most of my inventory comes from the 19 shops in this guide.

Why I wrote this guide

Every week I get messages from people flying into Osaka asking things like "which shop has the best English staff?" or "where do I find old WOTC sets?" There wasn't a single English resource that answered those questions honestly, so I built one. The rankings here are based on what I'd tell a friend visiting for the first time — not what brings in affiliate clicks.

How the rankings work

Every shop is scored on 12 axes (Pokemon depth, English support, singles range, etc.) based on repeat visits. I weight tier by how reliable the shop is — a tier-A shop has been consistent over dozens of visits; tier-C means I've been there but wouldn't bet a friend's trip on it. User reviews quoted per shop come from Google Maps and are cited inline.

Can't make it to Osaka?

If you can't fly to Japan but still want cards from these shops, that's literally what I do for a living. I'll hit the floor for you, photograph each card before shipping, and send it via EMS/DHL at wholesale rates.

I post daily Japan card prices and store visits on TikTok at @japanpokemonproxy. Good place to see live inventory and decide if a trip to Osaka is worth it. For questions, the fastest response is WhatsApp at +81 90-2280-9299 — I reply within 24 hours, usually much faster.
